It is with great pleasure that we can announce the coming together of two of the United Kingdom's leading coach training organizations.

Noble Manhattan Coaching are proud to announce that they will be working very closely with " Life Coach School International" and their CEO PaTrisha-Anne Todd.

From January 2007

Noble Manhattan Coaching are delighted to be taking on the responsibility for the future live training, support and development of all existing LCSI students and coaches. They will benefit from the existing and comprehensive support package and membership benefits that all existing Noble Manhattan coaches and students experience.

As part of this move we are also proud to welcome PaTrisha-Anne Todd as a new member of our international faculty.

PaTrisha-Anne Todd is now in the enviable position (one that most coaches would love to be in) of having to divide her time between delivering e- seminars and keynote speeches worldwide while authoring her highly successful range of coaching books. More of which will be published later this year. It also allows PaTrisha-Anne the opportunity to develop new courses in the areas of wealth creation and spiritual soul coaching, areas that she feels intensely drawn towards.

By working closely with Noble Manhattan coaching we believe we have created the perfect situation for both PaTrisha-Anne, LCSI and all present and future students.

What do we know about teams?

Until the mid 1990’s many organisations had constructed teams around the military command and
control model. Since that time teams have been assembled in different ways but we still have a lot
to learn form the military. Major General Sir Jeremy Moore commanded British land forces during
the Falklands campaign and accepted the Argentinean surrender from General Mario Menendez.
Shortly after the war Jeremy Moore told the following story about the surrender of Argentinean
soldiers after the battle for Mount Tumbledown……..

The terms of surrender had been agreed and at the appointed hour the Argentinean soldiers filed
along the road that led down from Mount Tumbledown. A village situated at the foot of Tumbledown
was to be the place where the Argentinean’s would lay down their arms.
The Commando Sergeant-Major was seated at a table alongside the growing pile of rifles, machine
guns and mortars that each solder surrendered as they reached the table. Hour after hour the
Commando’s watched as the Argentinean soldiers filed past the table. Many were conscripts who
appeared to have been hastily assembled if their ill fitting uniforms and variety of arms were
anything to go by.

At one point the British Sergeant-Major looked along the road at the file of soldiers and in the
distance he could see somebody who was clearly an officer. As the officer reached the table he
surrendered his pistol and said: ‘Well done British, you deserved to win but look at the soldiers I
had to work with, not prepared for battle and ill equipped’.
The Sergeant-Major looked at the officer who was in an immaculate uniform, polished boots and
belt, clean shaved and standing apart from his soldiers. The Sergeant-Major stood up from his
desk and signalled for a sergeant to take over from him as he addressed the Argentinean officer:
‘No sir that is not why you lost the battle’, he asked the officer to follow him to a small group of
British Commando’s.

The group of five soldiers were dressed in white snow camouflage uniforms; each carried a large
back pack and similar small arms. They had been fighting for days and were tired, dirty and needed
to shave but there was an obvious camaraderie between them. As they reached the group the
Sergeant-Major turned to the Argentinean officer and said: ‘This sir is why we won’.
The officer looked at the small group for a short while and then turned to the Sergeant-Major with a
puzzled look on his face saying he did not understand. At that point the Sergeant-Major
approached one of the soldiers and turned over a small white tab on the front of his uniform to
display two small black pips denoting that he was a lieutenant.

What message was the Sergeant Major conveying to the Argentinean officer?
