Hi everyone
Well, as many of you might know I went on an expedition/adventure late last year in November and December. I and two other friends ( George Metcalf and Gordon Dove) went on our three motorcycles down to Spain and into Morocco. We toured around Morocco for a few weeks and then came back up through Spain.
The reason for my trip was twofold, one was a reconnaissance trip for our new charitable arm launching soon called The Noble Foundation, the other was to have an exciting adventure.
Well, perhaps when I put the intention out there into the universe I did something wrong !!!!
Because it gave me an adventure alright, but not quite the one I had been expecting.
We had a total of 19 days of rain, wind, snow and ice. Not what we had been expecting at all. In fact everyone told us that it was the coldest weather they had had in over 40 years.
It brought with it many challenges, and I won't bore you with all of those, except to say that I learned many things from that trip.
The need for tolerance and patience.
Always expect the unexpected. Accept what life throws at you, and, an adventure is what you make it not necessarily what you plan for

We have two great opportunites to help you build your profile and gain clients
1.Helping on the stand
This is a great opportunity for you to network and meet new, interesting people. Helping out on the stand is always good fun and would involve handing out brochures, speaking to people who are enquiring about coaching and sharing your own coaching experiences and helping us gain new prospects. You will of course get free entry into the show. We will probably have 6 people helping on the stand. We usually have 3 on the stand at once so while you are not helping you can look round the rest of the show.
2.Giving free coaching sessions – (you would need to be a fully qualified coach)
The Psyhcologies Zone have asked us once again to give free coaching sessions after the success of the 2008 show! This would involve giving 20minute taster sessions to the public within the Psycologies Zone. You will of course get free entry into the show. You will have plenty of time to look round the show too as we usually work it hour on/hour off so you'll only be working about 4 hours during the day.
This will greatly increase your profile and is a fantastic way to generate paying clients as anyone who is interested in having a coach rather than training as one becomes your client. It is perfectly ok for you to have your own marketing material with you.

Support Groups
Under the wonderful leadership of Paul Wells This initiative which started about a year ago is really going well. In fact we are going to run a special training day in the next few weeks for people who want to become support group leaders anywhere in the world. New Coaching Tools Division
We are working on creating a whole new division under the leadership of Yasmin Mukadam. This division will be dedicated to providing supporting tools and services to help coaches develop a strong and profitable coaching business. As we speak Yasmin is working with our IT in to design and develop the website and many of our initial products. This should go live towards the end of January.
Licence Opportunities
Because of the success of many of our products in a number of countries around the world we have been approached by different people who have enquired about purchasing a licence to deliver some of our products in different regions. Protecting your information
I know that I have mentioned this before. But I had a very scary situation a few weeks ago. My PC crashed and I lost all of my data, contact list and e-mails etc.
When that happened I felt the cold hand of fear on my heart, I came out in a cold sweat. Because if I lost all my data it would have a huge impact on my ability to contact people. ( this was my personal data, not Noble Manhattan’s database)
However, the good news was that since this situation happened to me over a year ago, when in fact I did lose most of my info.
I have been backing up every day.

External Communications
A volunteer is required to work within the Operations Team to provide a communication link between the ECI and its externally accredited course providers.
As a newly created role, it is envisaged that the post holder will be responsible for contacting externally accredited course providers to ensure that the courses they are providing meet the standards set and expected by the ECI. It will be their role to make recommendations to both the course provider and the ECI in relation to development of action plans. This could be either developmental or recommending direct action where infringements occur.
An additional aspect of the role is to develop strong relationships with the course providers and to make recommendations for further accredited status where appropriate.
Working directly with the operations team, there will be strong links to other departments, including Marketing, Accreditation, Enquiries and Sales.

Newsletters that sell
Headlines - the most powerful part of your marketing communication
The headline is, without argument, the most important part of ANY
marketing communication - whether that is a sales letter, print
advertisement, web page, brochure or exhibition stand.
Why "without argument"? Simple - you can have written the best marketing
copy in the world - a real copywriting dream - but unless you can excite
readers enough to read it then all your effort is totally wasted. If your
headline does not captivate your reader's attention they will not [repeat,
will not!] read the rest of your communication.
Add to this the fact that you only have between 3 and 8 seconds to capture
the reader's attention you can quickly see why a headline has to work
hard.
The key word here is ATTENTION. You need to grab the reader by the scruff
of the neck and shake them!
So how do you achieve this?
Here are 4 simple steps to help you write POWERFUL headlines:
1. Define WHO it is you want to capture the attention of. Write it
down. What makes your product/service valuable to them?
2. Personalise it.
A good tip here is to consider the fact that your headline will be read by
one person at a time and write accordingly. Think about the reader as a
person - an individual
3. Tell the reader what is the most important benefit to them, as an
individual.
4. Use power words - You, Free, New, Fast, Guaranteed, Proven, Just
£100 etc.
Your headline should achieve one of the following:
a) Immediately convey the benefit on offer - e.g. "cut
the cost of your motor insurance in half!"
b) Imply the benefit - e.g. "Are you looking to reduce
the cost of your motor insurance?"
c) Ask a compelling question - e.g. "What would you do
if I offered you £1000 in cash?"
d) Give the reader important information, that may be
new to them - e.g. "Are you aware that over 192 million days are lost each
year through staff illness?"
Why not try collecting headlines from mailings, press advertisements etc.
that you have seen? You may just see one that you can adapt to your
business! After all the big advertisers [Virgin, Egg, Orange etc.] employ
the best copywriters in the world - that is how they make their living.
And you can benefit from their expertise FREE OF CHARGE!
One final tip - AVOID USING HUMOUR - it very rarely works. What may be
hilariously funny to you probably isn't to the next person!
Testimonials - how to get the most from this FREE marketing
Testimonials are a great way of adding credibility to what you do. They
can help convince people that your service or product is good - it is as
simple as that!
How often have you been to see a prospective customer, who you know needs
your product or service and can afford to pay for it, but just needs a
little extra persuasion? Maybe they don't quite believe that you can
deliver what you claim you can, or whether it is safe to buy from you -
after all they may not know you from Adam!
What this prospective customer is asking you to do is to prove to them
that they can believe you. And what better way to show them what other
customers have said about you! You wheel out your file of testimonials!
But how do you go about getting customers to give you testimonials?
Simple answer: ASK THEM!
You have nothing to be afraid of if you think about it - they are
satisfied with your service so why shouldn't they be prepared to tell
other people?
With this in mind, there are 3 ways to actually get customer testimonials:
1. Ring them up and ask them!
Simply pick up the telephone and say, "Were you happy with XYZ? Would you
be prepared to give me a testimonial that I could use?"
Simple as that!
Truth is that whilst most people will find it impossible to say "No" they
often won't get round to actually writing one for you. Or if they do it
might not be exactly what you are looking for.
2. Write the testimonial for them
Once you have agreement from someone that they are prepared to give you a
testimonial, take the effort away from them.
Write the testimonial on their behalf and fax it over to them with the
following note:
"Thanks very much for agreeing to provide a testimonial on my behalf. As I
know you are extremely busy I have taken the liberty of drafting a few
words on your behalf.
If you are happy with the content would you please sign and fax back to me
on headed paper.
Many thanks in advance. Etc."
3. Use client satisfaction surveys to gather testimonials
Everyone should routinely conduct customer satisfaction surveys as a
matter of course - if you are not ask yourself "why not?". Are you
frightened of what you may hear? Or do you not care about what your
customers think about you? Or are you unsure of what to ask?
Customer satisfaction surveys are an easy to obtain testimonials if you
just ask!
For example use the following questions:
a) on a scale of 1 to 10 [where 1 is excellent and 10 is awful] how
well have we......
b) on a scale of 1 to 10 how satisfied are you with our service to you?
c) If you experience has been positive would you care to provide a
testimonial for use in our promotional materials?
Don't forget them to ask for signed permission to use it before you print
it anywhere.
Remember testimonials can be a very powerful sales tool, a form a valuable
part of your sales tool-kit. Plus they are very easy AND FREE to get!
